Easter may look a little different this year but that doesn't mean you can't get your home ready for the celebrations. If you’re lucky enough to be living with family, friends or a housemate, you will most likely be spending the Easter long weekend with them. So why not make this Easter one to remember, together?
At the moment, you’re spending more time in your homes and you’ll notice that you have a little more time on your hands. So it’s the perfect opportunity to ignite your creative side and get inspired! Why not spruce up your dining table with some homemade decor and festive florals to give your home the love it well and truly deserves? Here are our tips on celebrating Easter at home this year.
Forage Through The Garden
The perfect accompaniment to a dining table, whether wooden, marble or glass is foliage. Whilst we are trying to limit being outside the home, you can draw inspiration from nature around you.

This doesn’t mean picking flowers from your local park but looking in your own garden for inspiration. If leaves or branches have fallen, give them new life in a vase on your dining room storage such as a console or buffet. These elements will add natural colour and texture to your space whilst providing a decorative element that gives a nod to nature.
Search The Fruit Bowl
If you love the look of a black dining space, you’ll be looking to add simple pops of colour that offset the monochromatic colour palette. Fruit is an ideal and inexpensive way to add décor to a black sideboard or buffet or black dining table, Think red apples, pomegranate and dark purple grapes paired with white and neutral coloured homewares to really create a colour impact.

Be Inspired By Easter
Although we may not be able to participate in a traditional Easter Egg Hunt this year, there are still ways you can be inspired by this holiday and set up your dining room furniture for the big day. We’ve chosen to use standard eggs (from our fridge!) to create this feature piece. Generally we would dye or decorate our Easter Eggs, but this year we decided to keep it simple to complement our choice of beige dining chairs and light décor selection. We’ve opted for a fabric-dining chair in this space to soften the space and offset our darker furniture and wall art.

Although we can’t physically spend time with one another this Easter, creating a space that feels like Easter will still make the day memorable. Plus with access to technology we can enjoy a virtual Easter lunch with our extended families, friends and loved ones! As much as we are apart right now, there are still ways we can feel as though we’re together. So this Easter, spend time with those around you and together let’s appreciate that we have a roof over our heads and a safe place that we call home.
